Next Gen Golfers Thrive at the PGA Atlantic Pro-Junior Presented by GG Brands

One thing that’s clear after the PGA Atlantic Pro-Junior event is that the future of golf is bright. On Wednesday morning, over 90 juniors arrived at the Amherst Golf Club, bringing their clubs and A-game.
The impressive prize table likely contributed to the heightened competition. Investing in juniors offers the greatest returns, and our partners clearly understand that, as evidenced by the array of prizes.
Callaway, Cobra Golf, Dormie Workshop, FootJoy, Golf Trends, LevelWear, OGIO, Odyssey, PING, Puma Golf, Titleist all contributed various prizes, from push carts to golf bags.
The Amherst Golf Club hosted teams from across the region, offering a beautiful golf course with views of the Tantramar Marsh. However, the food might have stolen the show—it's hard to beat a course hot dog. Special thanks to Professional Michael Archibald and the Amherst team for hosting us.
Atlantic zone professionals are dedicated to growing junior participation, and it shows!
Twenty-nine teams set out at 10:30 AM for a shotgun start, finishing their rounds in just under five hours. Two teams tied for first place at 15-under: Team Isaac MacNaughton from Truro Golf Club and Team Mark Rogers from Ashburn Golf Club, both finishing with a score of 56 (-15).
The tiebreaker came down to the back nine, with Team Truro winning by two strokes. Congratulations to Team Isaac MacNaughton (Ryan Vohra, Grayson Norwich, and Zach Gaudet) for clinching the victory and taking home some fresh new Dormie Workshop headcovers!
"They smell really good and it's good leather," commented junior golfer Grayson Norwich on his new Dormie headcovers—straight facts.
We are incredibly fortunate for all the support from our partners, especially our presenting partner, G&G Brands, for their crucial role in making this event happen.
The Atlantic Zone will return to the Amherst Golf Club at the end of August for the PING PGA Atlantic Junior Tournament of Champions.
