Announcing the Inaugural PGA Atlantic Scholarship Recipient

The PGA Atlantic is proud to introduce the first-ever recipients of our scholarship program! Supporting members and apprentice professionals through opportunities for growth and development is a core mission of our association. In line with this commitment, the Atlantic Zone has launched a scholarship program to assist members, apprentice professionals, and their immediate family members in pursuing higher education through financial support.

After thorough review by the Scholarship Committee, we are delighted to announce this year’s recipients:

  • Jake Smith, son of PGA Professional Gordie Smith, is completing his final year at Wingate University in North Carolina, where he studies finance.

  • Jacques Forgeron, is working towards his Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Aviation and his Commercial Pilot License at Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick.

  • Taylor Wilson, daughter of PGA Professional Sarah Wilson, recognized for her academic achievements at the Saint Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.

The recipients were selected based on their academic performance, community contributions and/or their involvement with the association. Congratulations to our scholarship winners, and a heartfelt thank-you to all applicants for their submissions.
