PGA Day
PGA Day, founded by the PGA of Canada Atlantic, is a special charity event dedicated to raising funds for prostate cancer research and support. After a hiatus due to COVID-19, PGA Day returned this year stronger than ever. Professionals at courses across the Maritimes teed off for an entire day of golf, all in support of this important cause.
This year’s event raised an incredible $28,609, with $10,980 donated to the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation and $17,629 going to the Canadian Cancer Society. The PGA of Canada Atlantic is proud to rally the golfing community for such a meaningful cause, helping make a difference in the fight against prostate cancer.
In addition to supporting prostate cancer, PGA Day also stood behind another important cause—Crohn’s and Colitis. One of our own, Evan McFarlane, was personally affected by the disease and took the lead in organizing a PGA Day event sponsored by Levelwear. Thanks to his efforts, over $8,000 was raised to support the fight against Crohn’s and Colitis.
We’re thrilled to see how PGA Day has grown and are excited for what next year will bring! We're continuously exploring ways to expand the event and its impact, making every year bigger and better.
