My friends whom I watched The Masters with one day and they had all played. Prior to getting to playing, I began hitting balls into an open field at the farm with my grandfather. I broke a few windows hitting towards the house of which is where my “natural” hook developed to avoid the house. Then I played with my friends and was truly hooked on the game. Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction
and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.”
Thoughts on the Importance of Continuing Education and Your PGA Designation:
Working in the industry that is fast changing and broadening in scope, I believe it is critical to have a
focus on industry and non-industry based professional development and continued education. In
addition to education, it’s imperative we learn to be astute and ahead of the change in our customers’
needs to ensure we remain progressive of these desires and interests. They as in the customer are the
real educators…As to the PGA designation; I hold this in very high regard. I am most thankful to my
mentors and opportunity to be part of some wonderful teams and exceptional facilities of which have all
shaped a career I am most proud. Representing the PGA of Canada and the people, we interact and
influence is an honor I deeply respect.
